Guest guest
Group I work with several skilled nursing facilities that are part of a retirement community with multiple levels of care (independent, residential, assisted living and skilled nursing). A question I have been asked is, " Is it permissible for therapy to treat patients outside of the skilled nursing building and have the skilled building bill Medicare for those services using their current Medicare number? " What conditions are required to do this (certification of Skilled facility for outpatient? Therapist employed by SNF?), what billing codes must be included when submitted for billing? If you may also direct me to authorizing documents or manuals that confirm or deny this I would appreciate it. Thank you, Ron Wall Axiom Healthcare Group Ontario, CA
