Guest guest
Not sure as to the APTA stance on the codes but we have been using the CPT 95992 for canalith repositioning for a while now. It has worked well but we did get some denials when the ICD-9 code was not specifically BPPV (386.11). If it was a any other vertigo ICD-9(many codes for this)or a dizziness (780.4)ICD-9 code then CPT 95992 was denied. This makes some logic sense as canalith repositioning 95992 is specific to BPPV. It says that we should bill using CPT code 95992. I know this issue has been going back and forth. Can someone tell me if things have changed and we should be using 95992 code now. with healthy wishes Sincerely, K.
