Guest guest
Dear Group, This is just to let ya all know that I'll be going to a second ortho this Tuesday for both a 2nd opinion and more than likely an appt for the surgical procedure to repair the torn rotator and whatever else they see in there that can be repaired! My appt is for 2:15. Tomorrow (Mon.), my in-laws have come to the area--they are staying in a beach house in LBI (Long Beach Is.,NJ) and we are heading down to visit with them there tomorrow for the day--about 2.5 hours each way for us. Then on Thurs. ,they'll drive here and see our house for the first time. We sold 'their' 'old' house (both literally--it was an 1850 n, and it was the house they sold to us back in 1993 after they had lived in it since 1968). Between the 6 in our family, a bunch of friends they want to see, them, there will probably be about 15 coming to our house. My MIL thought it would be nice for us to have a nice meal, but with my FIL being in a wheelchair, restaurants are a bit of a hassle( my hub already built a ramp with my 8 yr old to get his dad in and out of the first floor of our house) so....Lord willing, we'll have nice weather, and my MIL offered to pay $$ for whatever we do--I told her we could find someplace local to cater( I'm thinking of my shoulder here! and not wanting to prepare loads of food myself for 15 folks!).So, I'll do appetizers, and have a simple meal catered. Sorry, this is going on and on...too long, will sign off for now... Hope everyone is well. Love to all, kate Please visit: http://www.bicycleman.comawesome guy, fantastic site. Guest guest
Kate~ I didn't find your post to be too long. Sounds like there's going to be a lot of activity. Are you sure you're up to it? I don't think my nerves could handle it. But then again, you're probably stronger than me. I've lived such a secluded lifestyle for so long now, that just going to the store is excitement enough for me. I am so sorry to hear about your rotator cuff. I know how painful that can be. I'll remember to lift you in prayer. I hope you get better real soon. Love and blessings...
