Guest guest
Hi All! I am wondering if anyone out there in the outpatient realm is using outcome measurement tools on a regular basis. If so, which ones in particular? We use Oswestry and NDI but I am looking to expanding out to other body parts/conditions. Thanks in advance! J. Guest guest
Hi ,  Yes, I use outcomes. I suggest the Oswestry, the Neck Disability Index, the QuickDASH, and the Lower Extremity Functional Scale. The LEFS isn't as sensitive for some deficits with higher level people, and the full DASH is rather time consuming. The Quick DASH is " nuts and bolts. "   The LEFS minimum detectable change is 9 pts and the Quick DASH is 8. Neck Disability Index and Oswestry are, from what I've read, 10-12 points.  Hope that helps.  Dan Lorenz, DPT, PT, LAT, CSCS Specialists in Sports and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Overland Park, KS www.ssorkc.com Subject: Outcome measures To: " 'PTManager ' " <PTManager > Date: Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 3:35 PM  Hi All!
