As you all know I also work for DDI as well as being a blind diabetic who would like to see the Prodigy meter sold in Canada. So first to avoid a conflict of interest I had to become a registered lobbyist consultant. Then I made sure the National advocacy groups letters were updated. So today, at last, I submitted all our letters to have the Prodigy meters approved in Canada, sent in today. I also requested a phone conference to help plead our case further. Guest guest
Hi Ruth: This is Terrie out in Surrey British Columbia, Canada. Hope all goes well and the way it is supposed to. Keeping fingers crossed and toes as wellas everything else that doesn't have arthritis in it, which is not much. So, can't keep fingers or toes crossed, but can keep heart felt prayers going up to that big fellow up stairs. So that is where they are going. Any more prayer waroriers in Canada? Come on! Let's get together and start praying or keep praying. Terrie. update on Prodigyin Canada Hello, It's been busy here. Guest guest
Hi , Won't work. The pharmacist could get them for you but they will not be covered until Health Canada approves the meter. That is what I sent the letters in to the minister for to help us get it up here. One thing I can suggest to get some of that money back, is to get a prescription back dated from your doctor saying you need the Prodigy meter and get the forms from both the Provincial and Federal government to get your P.S.T. and your G.S.T. back. It is adaptive equipment for the blind so you shouldn't have been charged tax. Hope this helps. Next time I suggest that you order strips, do it in enough time to get it sent by priority post by mail so you don't get charged so much if anything.
