Guest guest
Hi , You do not need to anything as far as your company license etc. You will be a contractor to the SNF and therefore will be working with their patients as if you were their employees. You should receive an orientation to the facility to understand the regulations guiding the SNF. All you need is current licenses, the facility may want a background check to be done by you as all working in a SNF need to have. Also some medical, again the facility may do that. Remember, when you are in the SNF, you are expected to follow all of their P & Ps. The facility should provide you with some basic training. Good luck. ine ine M. o, PT, CEEAA Owner Encompass Consulting & Education, LLC 8114 NW 100th Terrace, Tamarac, FL 33321-1259 We work hard to make sure you are " getting it right from the start " . Guest guest
The facility is the billing agent and is billing for a rate based on a RUG assessment level. Your responsibility lies in (1)providing correct treatment, (2)at a level that is appropriate for the patient; and (3) to support your billing, etc. with accurate accounting. You need to understand their systems and the Part A methodology to keep the facility out of trouble and a good relationship. As far as your invoice, facilities my choose to pay you hourly, per minute, percent of rug, or a mixture. you are not billing Medicare. In your contract, they may require you to attend certain meetings, provide non-billable screenings, etc. that you should be ready for. They may ask you to do a pay back of invoice dollars if the claim is denied based on the therapy acceptance by Medicare; however, that should be in the contract (You should have the right to assist in the appeal and their billing office must give you notice of denial process starting in the contract). Learn the rules and procedures to avoid a painful back end. Steve Passmore PT, MS (soon to be DPT) Healthy Recruiting Tools spass@... Phone: Fax: " What We Did For You Yesterday is History. Guest guest
I currently run an outpatient therapy office. We have been asked to provide Medicare A services for an adjacent SNF. Has anyone been in this situation and if so, can you share with me the contract rates you use (per minute) to provide therapy services? If you don't wish to share rates on the public forum, you can email me at bweflen@... Any information would be helpful. Thank you, Weflen, DPT, ATC/L
