Guest guest
I posted earlier about my son's allergic reaction to DMPS. Five days of hives and one with mouth swelling. Is it the " reaction " to the DMPS, or the mobilization of toxins? Are all chelators different in how they detox? Could we possibly see this kind of drastic reaction to say: ALA, DMSA, TTFD? I'm leaning toward ALA alone right now (don't know why, just a gut feeling). I should have all test results next week. Yeast has been a problem in the past so DMSA seems risky. Is this some indication of just how toxic my little guy is? Has anyone seen this kind of " rash " that was diagnosed by Dr. as " mercury rash? I keep hearing these references but my child gets so many rashes I have no idea which one could be from mercury, yeast, different liver phases, teen acne, measles, etc.

Which I would say is a fine reason to use a very low dose. Although even there, it will depend on the sort or reaction involved. (I have a rather complex view of skin reactions, and a long and icky history of having skin allergies. In my case, I had ***tons*** of skin allergies while chelating. I believe this involved allergies to things I was touching IN ADDITION to possibly involving hyper-sensitivity due to mercury. But it is hard to tell LOL!) best wishes, Moria

I've been trying to figure out what " mercury rash " is for as long as I've heard about it, and I don't have it figured yet. As far as I know, it is an allergic (itchy) skin rash. For a long time I figured it was DIFFERENT from " my " rashes (which are, I think, allergic reactions to touching plants, usually.) Then someone posted information about that mercury commonly leads to SKIN HYPERSENSITIVITY. Hummmmm. So maybe mercury rash is " just " an allergic reaction? best wishes, Moria
