There are several ways to determine the amount of dollars applied to the therapy

cap. Some include the following:

1. Common working file (ELGA screen). Will need to obtain security access from

your Medicare contractor.

2. C-SNAP - Will need to obtain security access from your Medicare contractor.

3. Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Number can be found on your Medicare

contractors website.

The most up-to-date information revealing the actual therapy expenditure dollar

amount will be available on October 1, 2012. I will also be doing a webinar on

this topic and information is below in my signature. Hope this helps.

As a hospital, working under the therapy caps is new territory. Here's my

question: Is there an online database that we can use to research how much

patients have already spent under the caps? Since patients may be seen at more

than one provider or the course of the year we would need information directly

from Medicare about patients' current status.

Does anybody know if such a source exists, and if so, how to access it?
