Guest guest
Could someone provide me some sources or evidence on the following issue? Recently our Environmental Services department told our therapy department at our hospital that hot pack covers are linen and need to be kept in a clean linen cabinet and once used will need to be kept in a dirty area and then laundered. We've explained that the hot pack covers, while made of a linen material, are not linen (like towels, pillowcases, etc.) and never touch the patients body and are only a covering for the hot pack. However, it would help if I had some evidence to back up what we in physical therapy consider a no-brainer. Kirk Bentzen, PT, DPT, MBA Physical Therapist Los Angeles Physical Therapist Dr. Kirk R.
