Guest guest
We work with brokers who append our lists with emails AND they handle the actual email campaign thru their servers. It's a little pricey if you are only doing a small radius and the hit rate is 25% so you should start with larger lists. (See last paragraph for another option) I would use extreme caution to only use approved vendors to actually send out mass emails AND to be sure they are opt-in email addresses. Some " less than respectable " people have scarfed emails from list-servers and these can irritate the person as well as getting your server blacklisted as a spammer (your company may be unhappy if you server gets blacklisted.). Approved vendors will use the correct terminology for the CAN-SPAM act and follow all the rules. I have had a few people tell me they got emails from the state lists but these were essentially terrible (BTW, FL does not provide email address). Mass emails sound nice on the surface; but, I wonder at their effectiveness. People have so many addresses, they change them frequently, spam filters can be intensive, attachments can be an issue, and people do not open an email from unknown source. If you are only trying for locals, you can develop an internal email list when you go to trade shows, meetings, or call even call the local clinics. You should be able to use these fairly safely as long as you provide an opt-out statement. Dr. Steve Passmore PT Healthy Recruiting Tools spass@...
