Guest guest
Temporary periods of high blood sugars (or poor control in general) will not harm you. With diabetes, it's the long term cumulative factor of year after year of poor control that brings on problems. In fact, try to relax, since stress will also contribute to high sugars. When the virus is no longer playing havoc with your system, you can work on maintaining good blood sugars. As much as possible, however, try to eat or drink foods that are nutritional. Hoping you feel better soon! Dave The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. (Proverbs 12:15) sick I am officially sick. At first I thought I was reacting to my new meds, but I didn't take them last night and I'm worse. I won't get in to details smiles, but its the flu. I can keep down water and that's it. So being type 2 how concerned should I be about my blood sugar? I was supposed to see the digestive health specialist this afternoon. Since I can barely move around the house without holding something I doubt that will happen. GRRRRRR The flu for Christmas! Woopy!

Guest guest
I agree with . Don't allow your body to become dehydrated. Try to drink lots of water. Crackers, and dry toast are good things to try but don't allow yourself to become weaker. If you're not feeling better by tomorrow see your doctor or if your doctor isn't in, go to the emergency room. The flue this year is making lots of people really sick. Rest a lot too. I sure hope you feel better really soon. Joyce Re: sick One thing try to get as much liquids down as possible. Getting dehydrated is no fun, try some crackers, broth and don't fool around if you geel worse, call 911 or if you don't live along tell them you need help. Feel better soon. and Joe sick I am officially sick. At first I thought I was reacting to my new meds, but I didn't take them last night and I'm worse.
