You, as a proprietor are one distinct entity. A corporation is a separate

and distinct entity, and should have its own tax number.

There's merit in using a lawyer, a CPA, and a consultant.

Not sure you can get a second Tax ID number. I tried this a few years ago

when I opened a second business and the feds said no. I went thru a the

online and it was rejected several weeks later. We were sole proprietary

back then and have since changed to incorporated; so, it might be different

under those rules.

This may sound like a odd question, but if in process of wanting to hire a

PT consultant, to they tell you what questions you want answered, or do they

tell you what you need to know.

Can they help you stay on top of all of the CMS bulletins, they are

overwhelming some days. And trying to fully understand some of the language

can take me all week. I am an APTA member, and belong to the PPS and even

this can take long hours.

Another question. I presently am working in private practice. I am wanting

to expand but with a different TAX-ID number. I am not wanting to stop

working where I am working now, I just want to expand under a new business

and additional TAX ID. Can this be done without confusing the present

insurance contracts. It took so long to get some of the contracts, that I

want to get going on this/

Thanks
