Lithium supplement and side effects

My 8 years old autistic daughter is taking 5 mg lithum based on hair analysis

done by DAN. My daughter's pediatrician has asked on the side effects. Does

anybody know what side effects this would have?

It would depend upon the exact type of lithium. The natural stuff and

at low doses has lots of literature on safety and benefits. High doses

have literature about kidney side effects and birth defects.

Yea but that's ultra high dose pharmaceutical lithium, this is just small dose

elemental lithium.
