Guest guest
Carol, We are just beginning to experiment with later day hours to catch the total hip and total knee patients on day of surgery. Currently we are getting to about one third of them on day of surgery, but that's because so many return to the ortho unit later in the day. To combat that we are replacing a recently vacated part-time inpatient PT position with one whose hours will be 1400 - 1600 M-F. We don't know if we'll be successful hiring someone for those hours, but we are going to give it a shot.
