Have you tried reading the info on www.ccid.org (If i remember the correct

name to the website). I get shingles from time to time but I don't have any

money to treat myself. I just concentrate on treating my son's autism. I

wonder if there is a connection w/his autism and my shingles flareup that I

had soon before I was told I was pregnant w/him?

If you have a cooperative local alternative doctor, intravenous

vitamin C is supposed to do the trick. Apparently there were

controlled trials in 1949 and 1950 but I haven't been able to track

the papers down yet.

otherwise 2 grams lysine 4 times a day, 1 gram buffered C 4 times a

day, magnesium 100-200 mg as citrate, aspartate, glycinate, malate 4

times a day and fish or flax oil in large amounts along with daily

vitamin E.

Also try elderberry extract 1 tbsp 4 times a day.
