Peggy, does Orabase (as distinguished from Orajel) not make such a

film, as well? I thought that was its reason for being.

Hey Irish!

You should see the scar tissue I have there, not pretty, I'm actually

worried about how they will fit my brackets on in the back there

because it's hard to reach. I think the swelling will go down and

it'll have time to heal then. don't worry, it'll work out somehow

I use orabase-b inside my mouth for the cheek biting. Even better,

you can ask the doctor for Kenalog in Orabase. It's a prescription,

but it works wonders on sore areas. Kenalog is a steroidal

antiinflammatory, so it seems to take the tenderness away and the

paste creates a barrier between the affected area and food particles.

It's kind of like an oral bandaid. You might check into it.

I just read Peggy's post about the zilactin-b. It's good too, but

they make 2 formulas. One of them is just benzocaine which numbs the

area, but only for a short time. The other formula is the good one,

but I can't remember the active ingredient off the top of my head.
