Square Footage for Outpatient Clinic

Is there any formula or strategy that others have used in determing the

square footage indicated for your clinic- based on clinicians treating

as well as patients. We presently have 21 clinicians treating in the

same space area, which averages 252 patients during an 8 hour period.

Our hours extend from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., however during the core

part of the day, the above volumes may be present. Our present clinic

space has reached capacity and we are exploring expansion options to

safely treat the volumes we have and prepare for future growth. If

someone has information from their planning of space, it would be very

helpful to us. Thank you in advance.
