Guest guest
Sue said.........yup it's been a odd day. started with our neighbour calling to say she'd seen a dead cat on side of road and was it ours? we looked and thought it might be - bit odd looking after obvious car accident - but couldn't see the little nick he has in his ear. So we came home and called for him - and he came! ------- IKWYM, Sue. When our present cat was a kitten she was knocked over outside the house but survived with minor damage. Then, a few days later, she was missing one morning and DH spotted the squished remains in the road. House full of wailing kids etc. DS1 had gone to school by the time I was brave enough to inspect the remains, whereupon I discovered one very flat rabbit!! But Kitty [yes, that is her name!] was still missing. About 15 minutes later, our neighbours appeared, with our cat, very much alive and kicking, in their arms. They liked her so much, they said, that they wanted her in their house as much as possible. Lots more emoting, tears and trauma etc. It was a really traumatic day, especially for Ds1, who came home to an apparently resurrected cat! We moved round the corner, eventually and our old neighbours got a cat of the same breed as ours, which was ridiculously pampered. But spookily, I often used to see Bill driving past our new house, obviously looking for Kitty. That used to give me the willies, especially when DH was offshore, even though he was a really nice bloke, apart from the fact he was a cat burglar .
