Patient hx is " chronic hemostaxis " . Is that one word or two. I couldn't find

it and my spell check is giving me two options.

1. hemostasis

2. hemo staxis

The word hemostaxis isn't normally used, and probably why you can't find it.

The correct term for nosebleed is epistaxis. I was unable to document

" hemostaxis " in any of my books. I did get a few hits for it on Google,

although of course it asked me did I really mean hemostasis. BTW, I entered it

as " hemostaxis " to narrow the search as I always do. Hopefully this isn't a

verbatim account and you can transcribe it as epistaxis instead of hemostaxis.

Hope this helps a little. :)
