Guest guest
That's too bad about your Jeep. Mine is a '99 Grand Cherokee Laredo. If you want a locking gas cap mine is $16.50 from the dealer made by Chrysler. So the keys are all different. If you buy one at Wal-Mart ALL the keys are the same. Yes each set, each package has the same key. I tried to find out how true or false this is and I'm not having luck. I'd rather get one from Chrysler for about the same price.Val, info on getting the gas cap key to match your ignition key.http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/ptcruislocga.htmlSome justice was done. They didn't get any gas. But they broke plastic in the gas cap area. So there is plastic floating in the gas tank. I don't think it will be a problem unless it hits the fuel pump. My deductible is $500 and it won't cost that much to fix so why get it fixed? I'm asking a friend if he agrees. Are you feeling better?Hugs,Shirley Re: Gas was siphoned from my JeepHi Shirley,I'm so sorry this had to happen to you. Way back inthe 70s, my dad's car had some of the gas in its tanksiphoned off. Even before then when self-servicestations started showing up, people were stealing gasfrom the pumps. I taded my Toyota Camry in for a Prius. My mpg hasnearly doubled. With gas prices quickly heading up to$4 and more, I think that gas theft will become moreprevalent. When people are forced to choose betweenbuying food or gas, what's going to happen? The future of electric vehicles is NOW!!Donna in WA
Join Care2.com's Race for Pets!
Guest guest
Hi Shirley~ Ours is a 2007 Jeep Liberty. It's actually Tom's baby. I think it's a gas guzzling pain in the kiester. But Tom has to have something to waste money on. Might as well be our transportation. Stupid vehicle is costing us over $100.00 a week just on gas to get Tom to and from work. It's extra if we have any business to take care of also. I'm not too worried about getting a gas cap with a lock on it. We live in an area where people are going to have to drive miles out of their way if they want to siphon gas from us. They'd be a lot smarter going somewhere else. They'd have to use up a lot of gas just to get to us. And they'd have to be very brave to try to steal our gas where Tom works. Too much light and people around. And everyone knows Tom. I'm doing a lot better now. I'm in remission and enjoying it as much as I can for as long as I can. It is so nice to be able to get about and do things again. I'm hardly ever on the computer anymore. Just on long enough to check my mail and check in with the group. I don't post much, but I do read other posts and comment every now and then. I've got an appt. with an eye doctor tomorrow. I still have the Optic Neuritis in my right eye. I don't think it is MS related though. I'm pretty sure that after two years, I should have regained my sight. I'm thinking that it is caused from me being poisoned for so long in the dump we used to live in. We lived in the toxic mold for almost 8 years. I'm pretty sure it has done some irreversible damage. In fact, all the things that I blamed on the MS... I'm pretty sure it wasn't. The good new is, I'm not in any pain anymore, my moods have become more stable, and I'm getting my strength back. I've made friends with one of my neighbors. A very lovely woman who is single and stays alone. We go for walks and spend a lot of time just sight seeing and enjoying all the nature around us. We live in a very beautiful area, with ponds and creeks, wildlife and plants and trees. I can't get Tom to go walking with me. He's too much of a city dweller. Getting him to enjoy all this country is really hard. It's kind of ironic how he hates living in the city, but he's so afraid of the country. He's not used to all the bugs and critters. It's really kind of comical at times. Well, sorry for going on and on. I'll close for now. How is everything going for you these days? Remembering you in prayer... Love and blessings...
