Guest guest
Matt, Check your state Code and the CDC. In Iowa Code, Chapter 15 (for hospital settings) we are required to test for TB upon hire and then every four years. I believe the Iowa Code is more rigid than Federal CDC standards. South Dakota may be different. Outpatient Clinics may also be different than hospitals. You would think the regulations would be universal, but they aren't. Guest guest
Several years ago I contacted the AR Health Department about whether TB test were required. I was told they highly recommend anyone having face to face contact with patients have annual TB test. The question came up after a Medicare visit conducted by the AR Health Department visited one of our rehab agencies. This was on their check list. Becky A. Sewell, MRC, CRC Rehab Net of AR/ArPTA P.O.
