Guest guest
Iron in the blood is not the test you want.. ferritin, storage iron, is the one that we need tested. Watch you PB to make sure there is no soy.. many of the cheaper ones have soy.... and for the jelly/jam... watch to make sure no High Fructose Corn syrup... then he'll be getting a pretty decent snack for a kid... flavors he likes, protein and fruit sugar.. good stuff, really. I'm not sure how fast the other tests come back..... Through Health Check it's 3 days and that is all done by mail.... so it's not a long involved test.... it's just gonna be a matter of where they send the samples, I would guess.... Good deal for you school... Perhaps you could do low dose vitamins and have him take a vitamin at lunch time, mid day... I know the schools around here won't let students take ANY pills, they have to go to the nurse..... Just a though.. I'm really big with splitting vitamin doses and spreading them out during the day.. I learn that when I was body building..... Topper () On Fri, 21 Jan 2005 07:57:28 -0600 (Central Standard Time) "Foxes" writes: Okay, sounds good. The cardiologist was the one who ordered the blood tests to be done before going to see the endo, so she only ordered the Ft4, TSH, and antibodies. How long does it take to get B levels, ferritin, iron, calcium tests back? (Iron I know is a matter of seconds and a finger prick - I don't worry much about that as my kids and I always have fabulous iron, more on the high side, never needed iron in my pre-natals even) If the endo does them (or I request them), will those results be back before we leave that day? And will be happy as sh** gettin to eat pb & j all day - LoL. I'm sure his teacher will be cooperative, even without a doctor's note. And we live in a small enough town, we don't have security stuff to worry about, esp in elementary. They only JUST started making parents come in to sign there kids out if picked up early in the last 5 years or so. Ami
