Sorry to hear AF showed her ugly face this month. I hope next month is the

one for your.

I was able to get to the Dr. office yesterday before he left. He even

squeezed me in ahead of several women w/ appointments (I actually feel kind of

bad about that). Anyway he said everything looks good so far. He said I have

a " pregnant " cervix and that the breast tenderness and slight queeziness are

very good signs. I had a transvaginal U/S and there was no sign of a

gestational sac (sigh...), but both the tech and and Dr. said not to worry,

that it is still very early (yesterday was 4wks, 2 days). He did not order

another Beta, but said if I wanted one for my own peace of mind before next

Friday (when I see him again), I could come in and get one. He just doesn't

feel the need as I am not having any ep symptoms. I will have another U/S

next Wed. (8/23) and then see the Dr. again Fri. (8/25) and he will order

another Beta the next time I see him. All in all it was encouraging, but I

don't think I will feel better until I see the gestational sack in the uterus

w/ my own 2 eyes.

On the upside, I do feel pregnant right now, and I didn't at all w/ my ep, so

I am trying to take that as a good sign.

Will keep everyone posted.

Gosh I'm glad things seem to be going well for you, I will keep you

in my prayers and hope the little one can be seen on Wed., but try to

hang in there if they can't yet. I know I will be a wreck like you if

I ever get pg again until I see the little one where it is supposed

to be.

Have they given you an edd yet? Keep us posted okay! My thoughts are

w/you and will be waiting to hear from you on Wednesday!!

BTW, what kind of attorney are you? My husband is a tax attorney,

very boring, I wanted him to go into crimal law, but he said no way!

My edd is 4/24/01 (Dr. went by O date from my chart, rather than last AF, as

my cycles have been long).

I am a Guardian Ad Litem in the Family Court. What that means is I

represent the best interests of children in custody and placement disputes

and I represent minor parents in paternity cases. I agree w/ your husband

about NO WAY on the criminal law (although being a prosecutor might not be

too bad). My work can be very stressful, but also very rewarding. It has

been especially tough since the ep though. I see people everyday that I

don't think deserve to be parents and that makes it hard. Some days it is

very hard not to impose my values on other people.

I will keep you posted on my progress. I have a feeling it is going to be

one very long week until 5/23 and that if I don't see the sack that day I

will be a basket case.

I have decided that unless I start having ep syptoms, I am just going to wait

for the US. It will be easier on me emotionally to deal w/ it all at once (if I

need to) that getting all freaked out if the numbers aren't what I think they

should be. Of course if there is still no gest. sack on Wed. or if anything

seems not right either then or before then, I will not wait until Friday for the

Beta.

Will keep you posted of any changes/updates. Thanks for the support
