Guest guest
I have been under a great deal of work stress the past year, during which time my CMT symptoms have gotten much worse. I feel like I am rapidly falling apart. I am in constant pain in my feet, hands, back, neck, and shoulders. Symptoms include burning sensation, pins & needles, muscle cramps and spasms. I have bilateral Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. I am scheduled for surgery on my left foot on Oct 17 to be followed by surgery on my right foot. I am also chronically fatigued, have frequent headaches and migraines, irritable bowel symptom, and chronic diahhrea, etc. I used to be able to manage with medication, but no more. I would like to know if others have found that stress directly impacts CMT symptoms and progression. Is there anything medical literature on this subject? It doesn't even have to be " bad " stress. My daughter go married in June and that was great but stressful. My father has had 4 strokes since May and that has been horrible. My M.D. says that stress is most definitely linked with physical well-being. C
