Guest guest
Thanks Gretchen, I'm getting more calmer I think. LOL I had a hysterectomy 9 yrs. ago. Was under over 3 1/2 hrs. Uterine cancer. Was OK, but when i look back, it seems everything staarted going downhill after that surgery. I worked in a factory that makes bearings. I was an assembler/packer. There were times I had lots of frustration doing the assembly part of certain jobs. I would be so stressed out sometimes I would bawl in the restroom or in my car after I got off work. Very stressful!!!! And I am not a crybaby!!! This was after Hysterectomy surgery. Seemed weaker. I couldn't understand why the other girls could do the work, & I struggled. Now i understand! Take care, everyone, Patsy
Guest guest
Hi all, I have always wanted to sing. I almost joined the Sweet Adelynes, until I went to one practice session. We had to stand on 3 or 4 bleechers. I had a hard time just standing there. Also they wore heels. Thats also a no-no. There went my career! LOL Just kidding, that was only maybe 2 years ago. Guest guest
Does anyone know of a oil supplier that sells mainly Perfume Types? I have been trying to find the Ralph Romance Type fragrance. The ones I have found so far are catering to people who are interested in buying scents for perfume not for toiletry making. I am also trying to see if there is a supplier that sells lotion spray base. Many Thanks, Jamila ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ Get more from the Web. Guest guest
In a message dated 4/23/2001 3:44:18 AM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: > Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for sequencing > ideas, other than beads. > This actually became an issue in our program because my son began to find the task totally aversive and would start up with " No, no, no! " as soon as he saw the colored blocks come out. I ended up making little sequencing 2 " X 2 " squares with stickers. One set was Elmo, Big Bird and and another set was (from a set of baking stickers from Stickerpotamus, I think) cookies on a tray, a carton of milk and..... the beloved Kitchen Aid mixer. That mixer sticker is so reinforcing, it turned him around completely and he started cooperating. The other thing that helped a lot is that our consultant suggested using a self duplic. A self duplic is a just a " vocal rehearsal " of the sample sequence before he starts. So we would lay out the sample and lead him through " Cookies, milk, mixer, mixer " aloud three times while pointing at each card (he eventually learned to rehearse it himself). This helped him a lot. We've also seen him use the self duplic when asking him to " Give me ball, wagon and cat " in that order from a field of 6. He hears the Sd and then repeats " ball, wagon, cat " as he scans the field and picks up the cards. Hope this helps someone. Behaviorists/ consultants if I haven't got it right here, please jump in and clear it up! Thanks : ) --- Mom to (4 3/4, autistic) and (18 months, So far so good)

Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, I can't tell you why people have nightmares on the melentonian but I had taken them a few years ago and they gave me nightmares. So I went right off them. Sorry I can't help anymore. Jeanne

Guest guest
O.K., I'll admit, I've been skimming over that topic, assuming I would get to it one of these days. I still think TLC means Tender Loving Care. So where is this source where I can download the data? Thanks, Gene > From: " Goldring, Ph.D. " <paul.goldring@...> > Subject: TLC Assessment Rave > > All > I've been planning on sending this email for awhile but Pete keeps inundating me with new material which I have to save, process and actually read. But I'm going to take time to tell everyone on this list that if they haven't started using the Assessment system that Pete has devised they are missing a tremendous opportunity to narrow down their training decisions and clarify their thinking about patients. Not that it's easy. The idea is simple, take readings from all over the head and see what's high, what's low and what's in the middle. Train up what's low, down what's high. etc. A sort of Q-based approach but without the QEEG. After spending five years desperately trying to make sense of the symptom-based approach I was taught, this system has the charm of novelty. But it's much more than that. It gives me a way of understanding what I am doing and, more important, EXPLAINING IT TO PATIENTS, that the other approaches did not. I began using it as soon as I could but i have to say i did not have a clue about it until I took a recent course with Pete. This note is a commercial for that course. He goes over and over his thinking, pounds it into my dense head what we are supposed to be doing. After four days I discover I know more than I thought and now, a few weeks later, I can see how more precise i am when looking at a person's reaction and the assessment I did on them. I have a clue about where to go next. Incredible. It makes me feel so much more secure, even smarter. You can download it. Is that incredible! There are several other web sites I could mention (no names you know who you are) where relatively straightforward information is made proprietary and sold for a rental fee. Pete just puts it up there for nothing. Nada. No dinero! What is he, crazy? Take advantage of the opportunity to take the course from him, before he comes to his senses and use this system he's devised. I'm sure it's not as thorough as a full scale Q but it takes an hour and costs no more than an ordinary office visit and it offers plenty to digest. > I believe the next one is in Ohio and there are still a few places left. It's worth it. > >
Guest guest
Gene Go to Braintrainer and join if you have’nt and look at the files section and yhou’;ll see what to donwload and where to put it. But I’ts daunting. If you aren’t going to really figure this out it’s better to leave it alone. Not onl are you downloading three Excel files, your also going to be doing a 50 minute assessment of the brain and then anaysing it. It give a coherent picture of what the brain needs, but only after a bit of effort. But that’s where to start if you feel like comitting the resources.
