Guest guest
Hi! We are embarking on our 4th round of chelation. My older son has dyslexia, but not autism and when I chelated him the first time using 25 mg. DMSA and 25 mg. ALA he got quite sick. He developed flu like symptoms and a fever. Well, I figured it was coincidence, but just in case I've only chelated using ALA on the other two rounds. He didn't get sick, but I've also seen no changes using just ALA. My autistic son has responded well to both the DMSA/ALA with no side effects. We started our 4th round yesterday, and I decided to add the DMSA to my dyslexic son's round. Well, today he is complaining of a stomach ache and he's running a 99.5 temp. Does this happen to some kids and if so, why? I'm assuming I should stop the DMSA. Any feedback would be appreciated. a - Peoria ILGet more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
Hi. My AS son had low fevers and stomaches in the beginning of chelation with DMSA. It went away after awhile but it was scary at the time. His fever never lasted thoughout the cycle. It usually broke about a day or two into chelation.
