Guest guest
Oops, I meant billed not build, guess spell check doesn't always work. <grin> ine From: PTManager [mailto:PTManager ] On Behalf Of ine o Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2012 3:03 PM To: PTManager Subject: RE: Speech therapy concurrent treatment vs. group Hello Leigh, For Medicare Part B you must bill each 1 unit of group as any concurrent therapy is always build as a group code. You would do better seeing each one for the 30 minutes. If you are talking Part A SNF, you must identify the time as group time for the MDS. Hope this helps, ine ine M. o, PT, CEEAA Owner Encompass Consulting & Education, LLC 8114 NW 100th Terrace, Tamarac, FL 33321-1259 We work hard to make sure you are " getting it right from the start " . Since speech treatment is untimed, is it acceptable to bill each patient for a 30-minute treatment session, assuming each receives 30 minutes of direct care? Or would we have to code for a 1-hour group speech treatment? Thank you, Leigh , PT San Francisco, CA
