Guest guest
I just read this article on the Directional Hearing Array that was featured recently on ABC. http://abcnews.go.com/sections/scitech/DailyNews/hearingdevice011217.html I did not see the program. The woman featured, Sherry Dumont, was described as having a progressive loss through her teenage years, and as having been " totally deaf " for 20 years. She wears HAs, but perhaps she is getting very little benefit from them. She sounds like a good candidate for a cochlear implant. Did the show mention anything about why she chose to use the Directional Array over getting a CI? Perhaps she did not like the idea of surgery. The device looks a little cumbersome to wear. Maybe the size will shrink as it goes through modifications.
