UPDATED Winning Points INFORMATION

The following comes from a Weight Watchers flyer distributed at our meeting

this week.

Weight Watchers is committed to providing you with a Program that is based

on the latest information. As such, Weight Watchers is continuously

updating the POINTS values of foods. While your ability to understand and

benefit from following the Program is not affected when a food's POINTS

value changes a bit, we want to provide you with the best available

information.

The updated POINTS values for the following foods are listed in the 2002

edition of the Complete Food Companion and are reflected on our web-site,

WeightWatchers.com.

ITEMS and PORTIONS Updated OLD

POINTS POINTS

Breadsticks, 2 long or 4 short 2 1

Cereals, cooked: oatmeal, 1 cup 2 3

Falafel in pita, 1 large pita 10 13

with 4 falafel patties

Falafel patties, 4 (each 2 " diameter) 7 10

Fish and shellfish: fish, fresh, cooked

without added fat:

Snapper, 1 fillet (6 oz) 5 4

Swordfish, 1 fillet or steak (6 oz) 6 4

Tuna, 1 fillet or steak (6 oz) 5 6

Jicama, 1 cup 0 1

Kasha (buckwheat groats), cooked, 1 cup 2 3

Milk, evaporated, whole, 1/2 cup 4 3

Pasta, any type (includes macaroni, 4 3

noodles, [cellophane and egg], and

spaghetti), 1 cup cooked or 2 oz.

uncooked

Pimientos, 1 cup 0 1

Potatoes: white or red, 1 cup 2 3

Pudding, from fat-free, sugar-free

mix (made with fat-free milk), 1 cup 3 2

Salsa, 2 Tbsp. 0 0 (Formerly 1 CUP)

Soy cheese, regular, 1 oz. 2 ??

Tomato or mixed vegetable juice, 1/2 C 0 0 (Formerly 1 CUP)

Additional note: These updates do not affect the published POINTS values

for any Winning Points recipes.

Ida - thanks for that information; I was not able to find

the " Complete Food Companion " on the WW website ... has anyone else

found it???

Katy - the Complete Food Companion is a book you can purchase at meetings and it comes with the At Home Kit. We have also have it in our files under Excel Downloads and Works Downloads - WWfoodpoints.
