Guest guest
Ah, a good summer cut. ) Challis Totally Off any inmaginable topid Well, today was the day. I had gone way too long without having my hair cut. People were actually teasing me about how long it was. Besides, as I have cystic fibrosis, there is a great deal of salt in my sweat, and the longer my hair is, the worse things get. However, dogs and cats and horses do love to lick my skin, as I am just a living salt lick for them. But today, I did it. I called up my hairdresser and made an appoint ment and actually kept it. That hair was off. I got someone who remembered how I had gotten my hair cut last summer (in June) and she just did the same thing. Of course I had my glasses off, and the deed was done before I knew it. I have this very soft, largely black, very short sort of feminine crew-cut--not exactly, but almost that short. And as my hair, since it has gone totally straight from its former nappyness, is now very fine and rather limp, the hair does not stand up. Let's look at it this way: It will be easy to keep clean and I can no doubt save lots of money on shampoo and conditioner! My "significant other" took me out to dinner this evening and did not even notice the difference. I guess that is because my hair is truly, "wimpy, wimpy, wimpy," which in my case is a good thing. I do see my neurologist today at 3:00 p.m. PDT, and as the Presidents' Press Secretaries say, "Bulletins will be issued!"
