Guest guest
Did you all see the latest on Katy and Blair, the mom and daughter in Mass. Who went to Mayo...the mom donated part of her liver to her daughter...news is good!!! This is from her Caring Bridge Page Tuesday, March 1, 2005 9:33 AM CST More good news! We've been told that they're planning to move both Katy and Blair out of the ICU and into regular rooms today as they continue to progress! The care that Katy and Blair have received is wonderful and the understanding and thoughtfulness the staff of Mayo has shown us is equally wonderful - Marc Bobby & Anne
Guest guest
Hi Cherryl, The A.E.B.C. put in letters of support. Ruth From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Cherryl Sent: Friday, December 05, 2008 12:59 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: off topic Hello Ruth. I first want to congradulate you on the work you have started. I am not sure if you are aware of the AEBC (Advocates for equality for blind, deaf blind, and visually impaired). We are a national advocacy organization and work with government to fight for equality in everything. This also means accessible items, Medicare equality and so much more. I hope this helps, and the CNIB is not the only organization. Take care. Cherryl RE: off topic Ruth, There are actually more than two groups that deal with blindness issues here in the states, but for the sake of a national voice, the only normally recognized voices are the NFB (National Federation of the Blind) and the ACB (American Council of the Blind.) There are other organizations and agencies, but the strongest voices are the ones I mentinoed. How I wish it were possible they could get on the same page, but that's wishful thinking. Guest guest
Hello : We would advocate for that as well. When we advocate for accessibility, that includes and is not limited to everything that makes life more on an equal basis, so yes, that would include any medical item that is needed for independents. Take care.
