Oh dear, what a sad baby I had yesterday! He was DESPERATELY thirsty in the

late afternoon, but wouldn't have water. I tried dilute OJ, with a bit of

demerara sugar solution added (my stepmother's tip on hearing that I didn't have

any glucose in the house) but he wouldn't have that either. I had to breastfeed

him in the end, but I won't be able to do that for ever! Someone here suggested

prune juice, but I'm a bit reluctant for obvious reasons.... my stepmother said

she'd never known a baby not take glucose solution (v. dilute before everyone

gets mad at me); a good friend (doctor and mother of four under seven) suggested

'bena (and pointed out that if it's too dilute it's just nasty - make it so I

would be happy to drink it was her advice) and keep on trying him with water

twice a day.

Any more hints? It's been in the mid-seventies this week where we're going on

holiday, so I'm a bit worried. Tim was also sick yesterday early pm (and that's

a first!!!) and I think it was all the heat. Poor sad little bunny.

BTW, thanks Sam, should have emailed ages ago, the containers arrived very

promptly! I've just packed Tim's food box for next week (Daddy will probably

throw a wobbly - I've got one box for food, one for utensils and then there'll

be the steriliser) and I'm counting knickers (v. important, this ritual - just

before we left for Oz for 4 weeks I discovered DH only had 7 pairs!).

Question for Big Mama - would I be allowed to attach a .jpg or .mpg to an egroup

message?

Pre-holiday Anneliese and Little Baby Tim whose Sainsbury's fan club acquired

two new members yesterday - oh, he loves shopping!
