Guest guest
Y'all have got to watch Dr. Drew tonight. This Whitney Houston thing is going to be big. It has the potential to really hurt the pain management cases of the world. I am just learning that part of the crack down on doctors is the pandemic as Dr, Drew called it, over use of prescription pain killers--Opiates as well as benzodiazepams. This is why the legislation in Florida just got bumped up. The /Conrad Murray case is what made doctors start getting scared. And my guess is that chronic pain sufferers are going to be the collateral damage in all of this. Coverage on HLN has been targeting prescription over use by the country...not just the celebrities. They suggested that the drug dealer now wears a white coat...called a doctor. My jaw dropped in disbelief. The warnings Not to mix alcohol with these drugs are clear. Now I understand why the pharmacies are doing required counseling for meds we've been on for years. I expect to see more contracts, more drug testing and more doctors flat out refusing more meds. I have been clueless of what has been happening because of the pain fog. But, my eyes are wide open now. I can only pray that more research is done for Curing our pain as opposed to treating symptoms. I am a spiney. I am too scared of surgery. And btw, my disability decision was denied. I am out today trying to find a job. My facebook usage was referenced. I don't have a printout of any kind. I plan on scrapping facebook. And yes, my settings have always been private and my friends are limited to those I know personally. And yes I had an attorney who went with me face to face and thought I was a shoe in to get it. I honestly considered suicide, but luckily am way past that. I will get a job in a different field and just do the best that I can. I am on assistance for utilities and food. The free clinic was a joke because it's not free for meds. However the mental health clinic does give out free meds. I had run out of everything after I lost my insurance. I tried to go without and cannot. But, I did try. I have the roof over my head and hope to earn the money for property taxes that are $232. I am 48. I will go on. My hope is to earn enough money to get off assistance. Between a lousy economy and my limited working ability, I can only do my best. I've lost my car, cable, friend pays cell phone which gives me access to internet, but that's about to end. I have a beat up 1983 truck that replaced my repossessed car, but incant afford the registration renewal nor insurance. And the headlights don't work. Until I can work to save the money to make the truck legal, it sits. I live rural and take a bus/minivan for which there is no free assistance. I tried to attempt to walk the five miles to town. Ha! That didn't happen. There was a time that wouldn't have been a problem. I just keep trying my best. Ellen in TN
Guest guest
((((((((((())))))) I am so sorry that the pain doctor did not feel he could help you. Does your primary doctor prescribe pain medication? Do you think your primary doctor would be willing to referral you to a different pain doctor? Big hugs, tami wrote:> > Well, > I got the letter today from the pain clinic. I believe you have been treated accordingly and have no other options to offer you. >
Guest guest
What time was Dr Drew on? and is it online? It is sad that the ones that need help the most are the ones that end up suffering at the rate things are going
Guest guest
, I have had this also but your insurance usually will pay for a third opinion also and you might look up a specialist in your specific disorder and a doctor that is on staff at a teaching hospital they are usually up on the current techniques. He probably only does intervention procedures and you can go to these Doctors website and look under Services offered and find out what treat plans they offer. You might want to try one more time.
