Virus/Spyware protector anyone?

Hey Everybody!!!

I am wondering if any of you know of a virus protector I can use on my puter for free or for a cheap price.We did have the Norton Protection but it was a trial

that came with our computr and now it is expired. It worked very well too but they wanted 50 bucks to re-new it and it wasnt even for that long.When I had

my old puter we had an Anti-virus protector but it wasnt that great.I dont remember what it was called but it was a difficult one.Any ideas? I would really

appreciate it.Its been 2 days with nothing and im worried we may get a virus.Hope all is well with everyone and thanks in advance for any and all help.
