Guest guest
Hi Silvia, Sorry to hear about all the pain. There are a lot of patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis, and arthritis who are doing a very low carb high fat diet-in many cases a ketogenic diet. There is some question as to how it works, but it does help a great many who try it. I am in a couple of groups, one a Fibro group, and we talk about all kinds of treatments, but this seems the best. I have been told I have Fibro, and also have x-rays,and MRI showing I have arthritis in my spine, and herniated discs in my neck. Also my legs started hurting, as well. My pain level was really reduced when I started the diet, and also had other benefits. I also could not take much of anything for pain, so this diet was my last hope, but at least it paid off. I can give you more info if you think you would be willing to try it. It is most important you do not have grains, or sugar. Here is just one link talking about Dr Terry Wahl, who no longer has Multiple S, after she changed her diet. It is not quite the diet I am on, as I do not quite get as much vegetables, and fruit. http://tinyurl.com/7ufb2s5 On a side note, what did make my pain worse was taking Ambien. One side effect is muscle pain. Giving it up at least eliminated part of my pain, before I started the diet. Best wishes, C. --- Silvia wrote: > > > By the way, I joined the group because I am in constant > pain. No painkiller seems to work. Strangely enough, plain > old aspirin seems to work best for me.
