Guest guest
Hello everyone - I've been having trouble getting my Kadian prescription filled the last few months, and today the pharmacist finally told me that there's a shortage. Is anyone else having trouble finding a pharmacy that can fill Kadian? I had to drive to the next town over today, and all they had was the new generic form. It just came out last month. Does anyone have experience with the generic yet? I'm worried that it won't work as well. The pharmacist just says " federal law requires that it be the same, " but we all know that sometimes they do differ. The actual opiate in it may be the same, but the delivery system for the extended release could make all the difference. Kadian has been great for me specifically because it delivers very consistent medication over the entire 12 hours, instead of creating a pain roller coaster. If the generic screws that up, it could really cause some suffering. Cheryl in AZ Moderator
