Medication help please (Lycria)

Hello all,

This is a strange one and a slightly long one I basically take two drugs

prescribed by my General Practitioner two of many I take:

I take Pregablin (Lyrica) 100 mg in the morning and 150mg at night I started

this before christmas up till now I have had no problems,

I also Take Citalopram 20 MG at night to help with depression been on since Jan

unsure of date.

On Wednesday I started feeling very sick thought nothing off it it got worst and

worst and worst now to the point I haven't eaten much since Thursday as I am

unable to keep it down, I'll list my symptoms below:

Shakiness,

Feeling sick

Being sick

Jerky movements

Feeling generally unwell

Muscle pain (although could be Fibro)!

Feeling weak

Being very tired all the time.

Has anyone experienced this on this meds before I feel so ill that I have taken

to my bed which is unusual for me.

What should I do.

I suppose the combination may be affecting you this way.  Many antidepressants

can cause upset stomach, but that generally goes away after awhile.

The fact that you just begun feeling this way makes me think you have an

illness, maybe a virus.

Re: Lyrica

I had been on lyrica (75mg) three times a day for probably three

years. When my feet became much worse, the Dr, suggested 4 (100mg) a

day which I faithfully took. In about a week or less I became so

nauseated and sick all night. I was saying and doing crazy things

like putting towels all over the bathroom and calling them hangers and

that I needed more etc. My husband asked our daughter that works at

the hospital to come to our house.

I am a laid back person and seldom

get angry or upset but I had all those traits. They called the

ambulance much against my will. I was totally bonkers with a blood

pressure of 240 over 180 and never had high blood pressure before.

With tests and meds they had everything under control in a few hours.

One thing I remember is they asked me what year it was and I could not

name any year. I stayed on lyrica but went to (50mg) 3 times a day

and have not been sick since which has been around 3 or 4 years Now

as we all know everyone handles meds differently so this is just my

story.
