Hi everyone. Katy, thanks for your continued updates and angel reports.

Especially glad to hear Rick is doing well.

I have some questions as I'm preparing for my surgery in July. I sent them to

Dr. Rutledge a few days ago, but I guess he's just been too busy. I can

certainly understand that with all the surgeries and lives he's been altering.

Still, I'd like to get some answers and thought maybe some here who have had the

surgery or are finished preparing may have them for me.

1) What is Dr. Rutledge looking for regarding family support documentation and

which family members does this cover? I've told everyone in my family but I'm

not sure what Dr. R. needs...i.e. Letters? Parents? In-Laws? Brothers? Sisters?

etc.

2) There is a note on Dr. R.'s website under the requirement for the Patient

Letter that now indicates patients need to show proof of a Gym membership. I'd

like to avoid this as funds are limited. Would it be possible to document a

post-operative exercise plan that utilizes gym equipment you have at home as

well as a pool? Has anyone else been able to avoid the gym membership?

3) Does anyone know what the long term effects of surgery will be? How does this

process do while you're aging? Say, 65 or 70; God willing.

4) I have asthma. I am able to control it with medications at home and have

never required hospital treatment however I have had attacks in the middle of

the night. Has anyone who has asthma had the surgery? How do they monitor you

while you're under anesthesia?

Thanks for any input anyone has.
