Hi -

I had a metho shot to treat the ep on 8/8/00, and waiting (it seems

forever) for hormones to drop. Last Thursday, I had a blood test,

HCG=467. 5 weeks ago, it was 13,000, so I suppose that's an

improvement. I have been feeling unstable emotionally, and I blame it

all on the hormones. Last Fri, for instance, I just burst out sobbing

when I was trying to make hotel reservations in Mexico. Granted, it

was a frustrating experience, but I used to be able to handle stress.

I also had a short bleeding episode at the end of August, so it looks

like we are on the same schedule. I started feeling some pains again

recently, but my dr said that everything is normal, and my fear that

the ectopic started growing again (talk about irrational thoughts!)

was not justified. Hormones are supposed to drop faster after

surgery,

but in many cases it still takes weeks. We just have to wait and see.

Hi Rickey (hope that is your name). I am sorry for your loss. I can

tell you I had problems with hormones too. It probably lasted 3

months but the acne, unfortunately, is still a problem since my loss

in March. Perhaps, once your cycle gets back to " normal " you will

see a change. The loss on top of it all makes it so hard too! Hope

you find support and comfort from this group like I have.

Hope you feel better soon,

ep 3/13/00 lap
