Guest guest
Hello to everyone! Been a long time since I posted but I am a daily reader to keep up with everyone so I keep sending out good thoughts for everyone's pain. However, I do have a question that I haven't seen addressed and I searched the archives with no avail. Does anyone on schedule II narcotic pain management drive? I basically have stopped driving for fear that should I be in an accident that they could use the pain management drugs against me. My body is very adjusted to the medication and I show no side effects that are visible such as someone who is getting adjusted to their dosages. You know how some of the commercials for certain drugs state that you need to be sure not to operate machinery until you know how that drug affects you, etc. However, due to high medical bills and expenses we are having to move about 18 miles away from my job. My husband works here two days a week and me 5 days a week. With the price of gas him making four trips a day would be a real financial burden and really wear out our only vehicle so I told him that maybe I should consider driving to work. Whom should you think I should ask about such things? My doctor or a lawyer or heaven forbid the highway patrol? Because one of the drugs I take is an extended release that should I take a blood test I am sure that the previous evenings drug would still be in my system. I am 57 years old and haven't even had a parking ticket in my life but the law of averages always works against us and I am really scared about this decision. Any help would be appreciated. Gentle hugs to all,
