Guest guest
Congrats on the upcoming surgery; will send out knee mails for you. YES on fibro pain and car trips. My kids who are living about 2 hour drive away are peeved with me because I won't drive up there to visit. I've tried explaining that the pain is so incredibly bad that unless we stop every 20 minutes for me to walk around then stop every hour and find a bed for me to rest in for a couple of hours, that long a trip is impossible. They just don't understand, though. Also a HUGE yes on fibro and tiredness. I can't even sit at the computer more than a couple of hours before having to go rest on the bed. There are times I can't even read because my vision blurs and hands hurt too much to hold a book, due to the fibro. Like my Crohn's disease, my fibro has flares when things are really bad - like now. I type quickly but so far this e-mail has taken me a half hour to get this far because I'm having to stop often to let the pain go back to tolerable levels. We had to spend $300 to get a medical grade foam mattress to go on our bed so I could sleep on it. Still can't sleep more than a few hours and that is with sleeping pills. (Doc has me on one and one half Ambien nightly, which gets me to sleep until about 2 AM.) Bout all I can do right now. Yes, yes and yes on fibro. Please don't stress (ha ha) too much about the surgery, but know I've got prayer going out for you.
