Lyndi, Does the Opana ER work and how does it feel from what the

Methadone felt for you? If there is another medicine that gives the same relief

that Methadone does then I'm all for it. It's been my experience that all

medication with ER ( extended relief) hasn't done me any good.

Doctors all over the US are taking their patients off methadone and

putting them on something else. My pain doctor switched me to Opana ER last

Friday. Apparently, the powers that be (DEA, FBI etc) have been letting the

doctors know that they " shouldn't " be prescribing Methadone for so many of

their patients.

So far, so good. It seems to hold up fairly well for the time period

it's supposed to. I guess the jury is still out, but I do know it is

working better than back when I took 12 hour Avinza.

With any of these meds, I usually need to take 600 mg. of Ibuprofen at

least twice a day. The Ibuprofen works better for me as a breakthrough

medication than Oxycodone does.
