Guest guest
Hi, Dana! If I can remember correctly you are an attorney? If you are not, please forgive me. I have a 3 1/2 year old autistic son and I am currently in the process of vaccinating my 5 month old child. We have separated the shots doing DTaP at 3 months, Hib-IPV-PCV 6 weeks later and the 2nd dose of DTaP just last Thursday at almost 5 months. I really want to just stop these vaccinations maybe with the exception of the Hib. I really feel like I have no choice in the matter. We live in Delaware and see a doctor in land for our 3 year old and I was wondering if a medical exemption from a doctor from another state is acceptable or does it have to be a doctor from the state you live in? Also, we are Catholic and I am not even sure if I would be able to get a religious exemption. Do I need to go to the Pastor and ask? It is also coming up for my son to receive his second dose of MMR and I am in no way going to let him get this. Do you think that I need to talk with a lawyer in our area to find out what to do? I really appreciate you taking the time to answering my questions. Jean
Guest guest
Not Dana here but...Have you read Cave (MD)'s book " What Your Doctor May Not Have Told You About Childhood Vaccines " ? Do you know that many vaccines contain aborted human fetal tissue? The religious exemption varies from state to state. In some states it's enough to believe that the body is a temple...no need for membership in any particular church or any kind of " note " from a religious leader. I don't know the details for DE. I don't know, but you can look up your state regs here http://www.access1.net/via/STATES/allstates.htm Also, we are Catholic and I am not even sure if I would be > able to get a religious exemption. You can write a religion exemption, look at your state regs for specific wording, or just write " vaccination is against our sincerely held religious beliefs " . Catholic is one of the easier ones, actually. Dana
