Guest guest
I went through the same thing before a dr. told me I was overdue for the surgery. I should never have gone through all that. That was 12 years ago. I had a revision several weeks ago and have been home 2 days. I also went through many drs. passing me on to other drs until the last one saw that the cement had broken up. A good resource is totallyhip.org Marcia After several years of chronic, intractable pain in my left hip, leg, and thigh, I was treated with the shots for arthritis in my spine (which I do have). Yesterday I went for a nerve conduction test, and the doctor asked if I'd ever had an X-Ray for hip arthritis. No, I hadn't. He did one, and Voila! I've seen Swiss cheese that looked more firm than my left hip bone structure. He asked how i kept walking. I explained the many falls.... Anyway, he referred me to the hip surgeon at The CORE in Phoenix, and my consult is on the 28th, surgery to follow as soon as i CAN ARRANGE IT. (i'VE PAID MY DEDUCTIBLE FOR THIS YEAR, SO if it's done before June 30, I'll have no out of pocket.) I am hugely relieved. The pain has put me in therapy, and now, there'shope. Any hints or advice or suggestions are welcome. **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch " Cooking with Tyler Florence " on AOL Food.
