Guest guest
Hey you guys! I live in Tampa and would love to meet the other Floridians. Just let me know where and when. PS I found out that there is a support group for people who have had WLS that meets in Tampa the 4th Tuesday of each month from 7-9pm at Tampa General Hospital. If anyone wants more info just let me know. Jess > From: lustre714@... > > Hi ,noticed your surgery date and had to respond to another " ROOMIE " . Guest guest
Dee, I see you're also from Florida. Where are you and what insurance carrier do you have? Everyone's emails are so encouraging that I think I'll finally take the plunge and pursue the MGB. Charmane in Orlando
Guest guest
Hi, Jess, You're very close to me. As a matter of fact, I'll be there July 10-11 for a Scrapbook Convention. I'd love to meet you, too. Have you had your surgery already? And if so, let me know your results. Charmane in Orlando
Guest guest
Hi Charmane, I have not had surgery yet but I really want to get it. I'm still working out the details. Have you had it? I would love to meet you . I'm not sure what my work schedule looks like yet but I will let you know as soon as possible. It would be so cool to finally meet someone from this group. Guest guest
No, I haven't had the surgery. I wish! I've been considering it for several months. Was on another support group list and then found this one for the Mini gastric. It sounds much better than the full blown one, for me that is. I just need to make the 1st step and start pursuing it. Each day I have more faith that it is what I want to do. Especially with all the great notices posted here by all the great people on this list. And Dr. R sounds so wonderful and caring. Guest guest
Hi, Charmane. My surgery was 6/17 and today I feel great. I have been very active today and nothing has hurt. Dr. Rutledge has really given us hope for a new healthy way to live (much longer). I suggest you have a consultation with him and see for yourself. My mom said as I was being wheeled in after surgery, " It hurts, it hurts, but I'm glad I did it. " I, of course, don't remember, but I am very glad I did it. Guest guest
Thanks, Ellen, for the encouragement! Last night I finally began and sent in the questionnaire. They say the first step is always the hardest! Now, I begin really praying for the insurance to approve. I'll then worry about being scared . . . LOL Charmane in Orlando
