Guest guest
Hey Donna! Yup, enjoying these last couple days before work! Blah! When I said my midline was off, I'm hoping I'm using the correct terminology. My face seems pretty " straight " now and the surgeon is also happy. But, my six front teeth ... the ones between the huge gaps on the sides that were created ... were shifted over to the left during surgery. I don't even want to imagine how that all happened. So it's like one of my front two teeth is right now in the middle. The ortho of course did notice it right away and, although I have no bands or energy chains on now, the ortho basically took those six teeth and re-tied them to a new wire. I had some intense pressure headaches for a couple days after so I'm sure he is doing his best to shift them back over. Not sure why no energy chains yet, though. They usually move stuff quick in there. I can't believe your teeth moved in 4 days! Wow! I'm a bit concerned that it appears nothing has moved since the visit. The ortho told me to keep an eye out that they don't shift over more to the left, which has not happened, so I guess that at least is good. It's funny, neither my ortho nor surgeon ever talks about how much I can open. Never mentions millimeters. I wonder how much I'm opening and how far I have to go ... I will have to ask next time. Just trying to yawn is a major, painful feat so I know I have a long way to go. SO glad things are going ok for you. I'm hoping those braces are off soon for you. Talk soon!
