Guest guest
Hello All! I have been reading the posts for the last 10+ days you guys are really supportive of each other. I am 34, a single mom to Max 5 and Catie 4, and oh gee about 150lbs. over my ideal weight. I tried to get my insurance Optimum Choice/MAMSI HMO to spring for GBS surgery 3 years ago. I went through the appeals process to the third level and then backed off ( I was in the middle of separating, moving, and moving in with my Mom). My current Dr. is willing to give the referral and I feel better prepared for the appeals process. My only option is the open/zipper surgery (the dr. on the plan only does it and I have to have my gallbladder out too.) Any suggestions/experience with Optimum Choice/MAMSI HMO, experience with the " open " procedure, or just general support would be divine. Thank you in advance Kim
