Guest guest
Hi everyone,My two year old has been seeing a D.A.N doctor, h0as been on a G/F, C/F diet, takes supplements, Enhansa, Glutathione cream, does O.T, Speech, Play Therapy for the last 5 months. I've seen great improvements, however his eye contact is never quiet there, he hardly ever responds to his name and flaps his wrists when he's excited. Will direct eye contact ever come back and is there any excersizes that I can do to help him improve it? One interesting observation that I've noticed is that when I wave something on the side of his face he doesn't even blink...which leads me to think that maybe there's something wrong with his peripheal vision, he could however see a bird from a tall tree across the street? Should I have a specialist check his eyes out..can they do anything to help maybe or is this just plain out Autism symptoms that stays with him forever??? Can someone please help me clarify this or give me some suggestions on improving eye contact?Thank you for your time from the bottom of my heart!Irma

Guest guest
Flicking Fingers. I think that is the name of the post where it discussed that this might be a visual processing problem. I posted there too, and thought that you might benefit from the other posts. My brother (now 25) did that all the time when he was young, and while we get much better eye contact now (we've been doing this for the past 7 months) it's not consistent -- he flaps every once in a while when he is anxious (and then his eyes twitter, and he flicks his fingers). I usually give him a squirt of the MB-12 nasal spray or a revita pop to combat this -- and it stops. (At least for us). Have you gotten the IGg (food intolerance) test? The reason I ask, when we first took our son off gluten/wheat/casein/dairy -- he improved, but when he started eating my brother diet (50+ allergens taken out) -- his improvement went from good (start) to OMG! -- So I have waited to get my son tested as I didn't see a need because so much was taken out. > > Hi everyone, > > My two year old has been seeing a D.A.N doctor, h0as been on a G/F, C/F diet, takes supplements, Enhansa, Glutathione cream, does O.T, Speech, Play Therapy for the last 5 months.
