Guest guest
Peggy here. I do yoga, Pilates and meditation and I do them daily. It helps me keep flexible and limber and helps with muscle cramps, (which I don't get as much anymore). I use the meditation for extra pain control, stress relief and as a sleeping aide. I also use the yoga and Pilates for stress relief as well as exercise. When the weather gets warmer I head outside and walk for 2 miles each morning. I can't tell you how much all this has helped me. It's increased my pain control, my energy levels have gone up and my ability to use another thing, other than pill, or patches for pain relief. When I first started down the pain road in 1999 I was on 10 medications for pain, migraines and sleep and now I am down to 4. I was down to 2, but emergency surgery 3 years ago gave me short bowel syndrome so I had to add 2 medications for diarrhea; codeine and Lomotil. Sadly, with the removal of so much bowel, well yoga and all that will never help. I urge everyone if they can to try yoga. There are many different types of yoga so hopefully there is one out there that will work. Peggy/MI
