Our ASD son seems like he is being overtaken by OCD over the past year to 18 months. He is seven and did not previously have OCD symptoms. It is variable; he has some days that are not as marked as others. But over time it seems to be worsening: new compulsions appearing, and more anxiety about being able to carry them out. He tested negative for strep, and I believe we ran the right blood tests. And his recent stool test showed no strep in the gut. In fact his stool test, aside from marginal yeast, showed what looks like a remarkably gut. (He's been on a very clean GF/CF/SF diet for more than 3 years) We are stumped, and getting desperate. This OCD behavior is so much harder to deal with! Any thoughts appreciated! !!
